TORONTO - The Ryerson Rams men's hockey team continues to add to its 2017-18 recruiting class as Tre Folkes is the latest to commit to the squad.

Folkes has spent the past three seasons in the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) between the Brockville Braves and Smiths Falls Bears.

This past season the right winger scored nine goals and added 23 assists for 31 points in 53 games with the Bears. Folkes accumulated 32 goals and 56 assists for 88 total points in 174 career games in the CCHL.

An honour roll student, the Scarborough, Ont. native will enter the Business Management program at Ryerson.

"I chose to attend Ryerson because it is an outstanding university where I am able to further my athletic and educational experiences," said Folkes. The passion and overall quality of sport and education at Ryerson is second to none and I am grateful that I get to attend such a prominent institution for the next four years of my life."

Folkes joins fellow right winger Steve Harland, announced last week, in the 2017-18 Rams recruiting class. Stay tuned for more annoucements as they are made available.
