Lisa Haley
Head Coach

Lisa Haley became the first coach in Ryerson Rams women's hockey history on April 1, 2011.

Haley led the Rams to their first ever playoff appearance in the team's fourth season after finishing with a 13-10-1 record in 2014-15.

Before coming to Ryerson, Haley was the head coach at Saint Mary's University where she amassed one of the best winning records in Canadian women's hockey.

In 14 seasons as head coach of the Saint Mary's women's hockey team, Haley led the Huskies to eight appearances in the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) finals, capturing the league title in 1998, 2003, 2004 and 2010. She also coached Saint Mary's at four Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) national championship tournaments. A two-time AUS coach of the year and CIS coach of the year in 2003, Haley guided the Huskies to an impressive record of 118 wins, 52 losses and 11 ties over the last nine seasons.

As an assistant coach with the Canadian Senior Women's National Team in 2013-14, Haley won a gold medal at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games as well as a silver medal at the 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey Women's World Championship in Ottawa.

Haley was also as an assistant coach with the team that won a silver medal at the 2011 IIHF World Championship in Zurich, Switzerland.

Haley won gold at the 2010 IIHF World Women's Under-18 Championship and also won gold at the 2007 Four Nations Cup and silver at the 2008 IIHF world championship with the senior women's team. As head coach of Canada's National Women's Under-22 Team in 2005-06, she won a gold medal at the Air Canada Cup.

In both 2011 and 2014, Haley served as a mentor coach at the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) women's high performance camp for the top Under 18 players in the world.
