TORONTO - Ammanuel Diressa and Keevon Small had career nights to lead the No. 5 nationally ranked Ryerson Rams men's basketball team a 98-76 victory over the visiting Guelph Gryphons on Saturday night.

Diressa (Toronto, Ont.) tied his career-high with a game-high 30 points, while Small (Montreal, Que.) established a new career-high with 26 points. Diressa was 12-for-22 from the floor, including 4-for-8 from behind the arc, while Small went 9-for-12 from the field and 3-for-5 from three point range.

Adika Peter-McNeilly was the only other Ram in double-digits, scoring 14 points, while adding a team-high eight rebounds and six assists.

Ryerson jumped out to 52-33 halftime lead and never looked back.

The Gryphons had four players who registered double-digit points, including Jonathan Wallace (Malton, Ont.) with a team-high 15 points. Taylor Boers (Belleville, Ont.) and Ahmed Haroon (Mississauga, Ont.) each added 12 points for Guelph, whose record drops to 3-5.

Ryerson improves to 9-0 on the season and return to action next Friday night when they visit the Queen’s Gaels (6-2). That game will be live on OUA.tv starting at 8pm.
