KINGSTON, Ont. – To cap off their weekend road trip in Kingston, the Rams put on an impressive showcase in skill to sweep through the Royal Military College (RMC) Paladins with a 5-0 victory at Navy Bay Fields on Sunday afternoon.

As the whistle blew to begin the match, the Rams wasted no time in placing themselves upon the scoreboard. During the fifth minute of play, Ryerson’s Soraya El-Houni (Toronto, Ont.) faced an uninterrupted charge into Paladin territory to give the Rams their first goal of the match. With confidence high, and the desire to even out their weekend record motivating their actions, the Rams would relentlessly pursue the RMC defensive line-up for the remainder of the half. At the sixteenth minute of the match, Ryerson’s Victoria Watson (Scarborough, Ont.) pushed the team's lead to 2-0 with an unassisted goal inside the keeper’s box. The Rams would go on to score two more goals, provided by Jalen Simms (Toronto, Ont.) and Savahnna Robinson (Scarborough, Ont.) respectively, to accumulate a 4-0 lead going into the half.

As the second half of play resumed, the Rams resolve had yet to dwindle as they pressured the Paladins on every part of the field. With Joycelynn Brar (Mississauga, Ont.) providing yet another goal that would push the Rams lead to 5-0 in the forty-ninth minute, combined with the intensity of the Rams play, the end result of the match was a forgone conclusion. Ryerson would go on to overcome the RMC Paladins 5-0 as the final whistle blew.

The Rams will look to continue their triumphant ways on Saturday, October 14, as they take on the Laurentian Voyageurs at LU Soccer Fields in Sudbury.
