Plenty of firsts in Rams win over RMC

By Cara Gilhula

KINGSTON, Ont. - The Ryerson Rams won 3-0 for a shutout against the Royal Military College on Saturday afternoon.

Ryerson's Muaz Saleh (Hamilton, Ont.) started the game off early during the 16th minute to take the Rams to a 1-0 lead, for his first OUA goal against RMC. Last year in the 2017-2018 season Saleh recorded his first OUA shot against RMC.

The Rams were composed and aggressive with end to end action for the rest of the first half. They made some mistakes but wanted more goals, and did not give up going into the second half.

At the 49th minute first year Yonnis Jama (Toronto, Ont.) scored his first OUA goal to extend the Rams lead to 2-0.

During the second half the Rams held their lead over RMC, and in the 86th minute Saleh scored his second ever OUA goal. It was an exciting end to the game, earning the Rams their fifth win.

The Rams will look forward to their chance at earning their sixth win for the season on this upcoming Sunday at Richardson Stadium versus Queen’s at 3:15 p.m.
