Two second half goals lead Rams over Voyageurs

By Andrea Elliott

SUDBURY, Ont. - Two second half goals from Sean Fafinski and Raheem Rose lifted the Rams men's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over the Laurentian Voyageurs on Sunday afternoon.

After a scoreless opening half, the Rams opened the scoring in the 58th minute when Fafinski found the back of the net for his second goal of the season.

In a physical match that saw 29 fouls and four yellow cards, the Rams endured a tough 90 minutes and put an exclamation mark on the game in stoppage time. Raheem Rose scored three minutes into extra time to secure the 2-0 victory.

The No. 6 nationally ranked Rams move to 8-0-1 on the season to sit tied for first place in the OUA east division. Ryerson will be back on the pitch next weekend when they host the Queen's Gaels and RMC Paladins at Downsview Park.
