2018-19: The OUA East Player of the Year and the U SPORTS Rookie of the Year dominated the country in his freshman season… The only Ram to play in all 68 regular season sets… Ranked first in the country in kills (329) and kills per set (4.84), hitting at .303 percent… Led the OUA in service aces (40), points (390), and points per set (5.8)... Added 66 digs and 38 total blocks… Recorded 10 or more kills in all of his regular season games… Saw the start in Ryerson’s only postseason contest, totaling 30 kills, three blocks, two aces, and 34 points in a 3-2 loss to Windsor in the OUA quarter-final on March 2, 2019… The 2018-19 men’s volleyball team MVP… One of Ryerson’s Stars of the Week on October 29, 2018, and November 19, 2018… Ryerson’s Male Athlete of the Week on four occasions: November 27, 2018, January 21, 2019, February 12, 2019, and March 4, 2019… Named the OUA East Rookie of the Year… Named an OUA First-Team All-Star and to the OUA and U SPORTS All-Rookie Teams… Also named a U SPORTS First-Team All-Canadian, the only first-year player in Canada to receive the honour… Ryerson’s Eyeopener Male Rookie of the Year and a finalist for the Ryersonian Male Athlete of the Year award… Established a new program single-game kills (33) and points record (35.5) in a 3-2 win over Guelph on February 9, 2019.
Before Ryerson: A highly coveted recruit, the 6’8” outside hitter has spent three seasons with both the Pakmen Volleyball Club and Team Ontario... Member of Team Ontario (2015-2018) and the Canadian Junior National Team (2018)... In the summer of 2017, helped lead Team Ontario to a pair of major tournament victories including the USA Volleyball High Performance Championship in Florida where he was named tournament MVP following impressive wins over the American Youth National team as well as two very experienced California teams... A few weeks later, was an instrumental performer for Team Ontario when it won the gold medal at the 2017 Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg... National championship MVP and an OVA all-star in 2018.
