Alumnus Diressa invited to NBA's Jazz mini-camp
TORONTO - It was announced on Thursday that former Ryerson Rams guard Ammanuel Diressa has been invited to a free agent mini-camp by the NBA's Utah Jazz.
The camp is set to take place June 8-9, 2018 at Zions Bank Basketball Campus in Salt Lake City, Utah. Diressa is one of 32 invitees to the camp.

If selected, Diressa would become the first Ram to play in the NBA. Fellow alumnus Aaron Best is also chasing that goal, having played his first season in the NBA G-League for the Raptors 905 organization this year.
Diressa finished his Rams career this past winter as the 10th leading scorer all-time at Ryerson with 1,002 career points in just three seasons. He is also a three-time OUA all-star, a U SPORTS first-team All-Canadian, a two-time OUA champion, a three-time U SPORTS medalist (two silver, one bronze), and Ryerson's male athlete of the year.
