Alice Lu will enter her eight season as head coach of the men's and women's fencing teams in the fall of 2014.

At the 2014 OUA women's fencing championship, the Ryerson epee team captured a silver medal while Ryerson finished in sixth place. At the men's version of the tournament, the Rams captured a silver in the epee class while finishing fourth out of all participating schools.

In 2012, Lu received the Christian Verdosa Trophy as men's fencing coach of the year for the second time in three seasons.

In the 2011-12 year, Lu led the men's and women's teams to two medals each at their respective championships.  The women's epee team took home its first gold medal in team history, while the men's epee squad captured bronze.

In the 2010-11 season, Lu became the first Ryerson fencing coach to be named the OUA Coach of the Year when she received the Christian Verdosa Trophy.

Lu guided the men's and women's teams to three OUA medals (gold, silver, bronze) in 2011.  She helped the men to a fourth place finish overall at the OUA Championships.
