TORONTO- The Department of Athletics and Recreation is proud to unveil the new brand identity for the Ryerson Rams.

Designed by the Department of University Advancement through the Design Services Group, the branding will be represented on the new uniforms donned by the Ryerson Rams men's and women's varsity teams for their respective intercollegiate seasons.  This includes basketball, hockey, soccer and volleyball.

The updated branding of Ryerson Rams is more representative of Athletics and Recreation as well as Ryerson University.  The energetic, diverse, innovative and urban university in the heart of downtown Toronto is symbolized through this crisp look.

The new logo embodies the emotion and energy of Ryerson while epitomizing the direction of Ryerson Rams Athletics.  It also pays tribute to the athletics program's history, as the department will continue to use 'Eggy the Ram' as a component of its branding.

"It is an exciting time at Ryerson Athletics, with the addition of our new Athletics facility this year, we are pleased to unveil our refreshed brand identity," said Associate Director of Athletics Stephanie White.

"The new logo and branding is representative of the evolution of our Athletics program here at Ryerson University.  Our revitalized brand will also be showcased on our new uniforms that were developed in collaboration with Adidas Canada and Big Kahuna.  The new Ryerson Rams logo is a fresh and inspiring look for our athletes, staff and supporters."

Designer Chris Hernandez created the logo, while Richard English, Manager of Design Services and Julie Zehab, Manager of Marketing and Production were also instrumental in the development of the new branding.
