TORONTO- Former OUA all-rookie Aleksa Miladinovic has been named to the Ontario Volleyball Association's (OVA) 20U Men's Provincial Team.

The Provincial Team program has traditionally been the final stage of the OVA's Athlete Development Model. The Provincial Team program affords the highest level of volleyball training and competition for young Ontarians and acts as a stepping-stone and development vehicle towards top-level College/University and National Team opportunities.

Fourteen athletes born in 1993 and 1992 were selected through an open camp that was held from May 11-13 at the University of Toronto.

In his freshman season, Miladinovic led the Rams and was second in the OUA with 578 set assists, earning conference all-rookie honours along the way. He has also competed at the 2008 Ontario Summer Games.

"I am glad to see that Aleksa's hard work, perseverance and skills have been recognized," said Rams Head Coach Mirek Porosa. "He had an excellent tryout and fully earned his spot. I am very happy for him. I hope that after this experience he comes back to the program as a better player to help us reach our team goals."

The summer program will finish with the National Team Challenge Cup (NTCC) where athletes from all across Canada will participate in a two-day training camp headlined by national team coaches starting on July 17. The camp will include position specific training, team training, sport science presentations. The NTCC tournament will begin on July 19 and end on July 22 and will include teams representing other provinces from all over Canada.
