SAO SEBASTIAN, Brazil- Ryerson Rams Head Coach Roy Rana added another medal to his international resume on Wednesday evening, guiding the Canadian Junior Men's National Team (JMNT) to a tight 68-66 victory over Argentina to clinch bronze at the FIBA Americas U18 Championships for Men.

It was Coach Rana's fourth bronze medal in as many head coaching assignments with Canada Basketball.  Rana led the Cadet Men's National Team (CMNT) to third place at the FIBA Americas in 2009, clinching the squad's first-ever berth in a World Championship.  Rana coached the Cadets to another bronze medal at the World Championships the following summer.

Rana took home another bronze and World Championship berth with the CMNT's at the FIBA Americas in 2009, before moving up to coach the JMNT's this summer.

The Canadians clinched first place in Pool B by going undefeated in round-robin play, but were halted in a tightly contested match by Brazil in the semi's, falling to the hosts 66-62.  However, they were able to re-group against the Argentinians, ensuring they would not come home empty handed.  The United States were crowned FIBA Americas champions after dismantling Brazil 81-56 in the finals.

Rams Director of Basketball, Patrick Tatham was also a member of this year's JMNT, serving as Team Manager.

The JMNT's also clinched a berth in next year's 2013 FIBA U19 World Championship.
