Adrian Mancini (Richmond Hill, Ont.) is this week's Boston Pizza Male Athlete of the Week. The fifth-year midfielder tallied three goals for the Rams men's soccer team, helping Ryerson to a 2-0-1 record this week. Mancini scored both Ryerson goals on Wednesday evening in a win over Trent and then added his fourth of the season on Saturday afternoon against RMC. Mancini's production this week helped the Rams extend their undefeated streak to 10 games, a new program best.

The Ryerson Rams women's hockey team won their first game of the season on opening night in large part due to this week's Boston Pizza Female Athlete of the Week, forward Emily Rose Galliani-Pecchia (Toronto). The second-year winger got the Rams first goal of the regular season, tipping home a point shot that evened the score with the University of Toronto. As the sixth round shooter in the shootout, Galliani-Pecchia was the only goal scorer, firing a wrist shot past the Toronto goaltender to lift the Rams to a 2-1 victory.
