GUELPH, Ont. – The Ryerson Rams women’s hockey team fell 3-0 to the host Guelph Gryphons on Sunday afternoon.
After a scoreless first period, the Gryphons got on the board less than two minutes into the second with a goal from Averi Nooren. Kaitlyn Mora extended the Guelph lead to 2-0 midway through the third period, while Christine Grant added an empty netter with 12 seconds remaining.
Ryerson’s Dana Carson stopped 19 of 21 shots faced, while Brooke Siddall made 16 stops for the shutout.
Both teams were 0-for-5 on the power play.
The Rams (2-4) will host the York Lion next Saturday at Mattamy Home Ice.
