It is our hope that our newly designed web site will allow you to easily follow us anywhere in the world. We are proud of the work our athletes, coaches, staff and administrators have put forth to deliver a quality athletic program and we want to showcase them to you in a timely fashion.

Our newly created mission is: “ to champion a spirit of belonging, pride and excellence which invigorates the student body, enriches the academic experience and develops the whole student”
We aspire to reach our objectives through five guiding principles which focus on the education and individuality of our athletes, the excellence of our staff, and our contribution to the greater community through outreach and service.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES

1. Education and Leadership.
•    We are educators first and foremost

2. Community Engagement and Service.
•    We are active members of our community

3. Campus Spirit and Pride.
•    We will create in our campus community an “esprit de corps” that extends beyond the student athlete.

4. Excellence.
•    We must create a culture of excellence in everything we do.

5. Diversity.
•    We envision ourselves as leaders committed to developing programs, services and facilities for all

VISION

We will be the heartbeat of the University. Our students, athletes, and staff will be proud to be RAMS.

As we move forward to achieve our vision, we have set several specific goals which we will look to accomplish during the next five years that will shape our direction and move us forward to a promising future. We appreciate your continued support and could not be successful with out you.

GOALS

To ensure that all student-athletes receive equitable treatment with equal access to top quality coaching, excellent medical care, superior academic support, facilities and equipment equal to any similar size program.

To attain national prominence for academic and athletic achievement.

To offer numerous and varied club, intramural sports and recreational programs that cover student interest and afford maximum participation by Ryerson University students and community.

To encourage student-athletes, coaches and administrators to engage in meaningful community service activities in an effort to create an environment where the synergy between the University and the public is both healthy and productive.

To develop financial resources which allow the athletic program to operate in a fiscally-sound fashion, managing resources in a manner that will produce the most beneficial yield for the student-athletes, coaches and staff

To continue the process of creating a culturally diverse staff and athlete profile which reflects the ethnic make-up of the University and the surrounding community.

To build a solid branding strategy for Ryerson athletics that will increase visual identity, alumni pride and fan activation.
