The Rising Rams program has three main focal points: educating youth on life skills, creating role models for youth and community engagement. The program not only promotes the development of life skills in youth, it provides opportunities for student-athletes to develop their leadership skills and inspires a lifelong commitment to giving back to the community.
In groups of 5-6, student-athletes make weekly visits to local elementary schools to facilitate sessions on topics such as leadership, time management, conflict resolution, self-confidence, goal setting and physical education.
Session 1: October – November
Student-athletes participate in physical education sessions in the gymnasium
Session 2: February – March
Student-athletes facilitate life skill sessions in the classroom
