2017-18: The Ryersonian Male Athlete of the Year, an OUA First-Team All-Star, and a U SPORTS First-Team All-Canadian… In his last season as a Ram, put up 392 points in 18 regular season games for Ryerson… Ranked third in the OUA and eighth in the country in points per game (21.8)… Shot 41.3% from the field and 37.6% from three… Eighth in the OUA after going 94-for-124 on free throws… Added 95 rebounds, 63 assists and 21 steals in the regular season… Set a new career high of 50 points against York on January 17, 2018… Put up 20 or more points in 13 regular season games… Led the OUA with 81 points, 11 steals, 32 free throws made, 20 field goals made, and 143 minutes played in four post season games… In three games at the U SPORTS National Championship, Diressa was ranked second with 81 points and 25 field goals made… Named to the National Championship All-Star Team after an outstanding performance in the Final 8 tournament… Had a postseason high of 30 points in the first round of the playoffs against Queen’s on February 21, 2018… Finishes his Ryerson career with both provincial medals (gold - 2016 & 2017, silver - 2018) and national medals (bronze - 2016, silver - 2017, 2018) in each of his three seasons with the university… Becomes the 10th player in Rams history to break 1000 career points, finishing with 1002, and the only player to do so in three seasons… Named Ryerson’s Athlete of the Week on January 22, 2018 and the OUA’s Athlete of the Week on January 23, 2018... 2016-17: Named an OUA First-Team All-Star... Finished fourth in the province and ninth in Canada with an average of 26.4 points per 40 minutes during the regular season... Started 17 of the 18 regular season games that he appeared in and collected a total of 342 points (second on the team and 7th in the province)... His 83.1% efficiency from the free throw line placed him third in the OUA and 11th in Canada... Recorded at least 11 points in every single one of the 18 regular season games he played... Recorded at least 20 points on nine occasions... Matched his single game career best when he racked up 30 points in a 98-76 win over the Guelph Gryphons on January 7th, 2017... Named Ryerson's Male Athlete of the Week and the OUA Male Athlete of the Week on March 6th, 2017… Averaged a team-high 22 points per game in three OUA playoff contests (fourth in the province)... His 66 postseason points led the OUA; also averaged 4.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game… Named the Porter Airlines Player of the Game after pouring in 24 points, all in the second half, and adding seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals in the OUA Wilson Cup Championship game... Averaged 16.7 points per game in three contests at the 2017 U SPORTS Men's Basketball Final 8 (second on the team, sixth in the tournament)... His 17 total rebounds was 11th at nationals and his two blocks second... Racked up 24 points, seven rebounds and four assists in Ryerson's 79-70 quarterfinal win over the Saint Mary's Huskies on March 9th, 2017.
2015-16: Named an OUA second-team all-star after scoring 268 points, averaging 14.9 per game to finish third on the team, while adding 5.3 rebounds per game... Named OUA Athlete of the Week after scoring game-highs during back-to-back wins over No. 2 Carleton and No. 1 Ottawa on January 22-23, 2016... Averaged 25.2 minutes per game playing in all 19 conference games, while starting seven games... Scored a career-high 30 points in a 97-68 win at Nipissing on January 30, 2016... Had 20 or more points in six conference games and 10 or more in six games... Averaged 16.1 points per game in five post season contests... Recorded 18 points, nine rebounds, four assists and a steal in a 96-77 win over Windsor in the OUA Wilson Cup semifinal on March 11, 2016.
Before Ryerson: Spent two seasons at Tennessee Tech in the NCAA, playing in 43 career games... Led Eastern Commerce High School in scoring his senior season with 17.3 points per game and garnered team MVP honours… Pulled down 8.7 rebounds per game as a senior while dishing out 4.3 assists and 0.7 blocks per game… Helped lead ECHS to a South Region championship and city championship and a 37-7 record.
