Mattamy Athletic Centre - Basketball/Hockey/Volleyball

Ryerson's men's and women's basketball, hockey and volleyball teams play their home games at Mattamy Athletic Centre in the former Maple Leaf Gardens. Basketball and volleyball games are held on the Coca-Cola Court while hockey games take place on Mattamy Home Ice.

Driving Directions

From Highway 401 (eastbound)

  1. Take Hwy. 401 to Hwy. 427 South
  2. Exit onto Hwy. 427 and go south to Gardiner Expressway East
  3. Exit onto Gardiner Expressway and drive east to Yonge St
  4. Exit onto Yonge St and drive north
  5. Turn right (east) on Carlton St., Mattamy Athletic Centre is on the left (250 metres) at the corner of Carlton St. and Church St.

From Highway 401 (westbound)

  1. Take Hwy. 401 to Don Valley Parkway South
  2. Exit onto the Don Valley Parkway and continue south as it turns into the Gardiner Expressway West
  3. Exit onto Yonge St. and drive north.
  4. Turn right (east) on Carlton St., Mattamy Athletic Centre is on the left (250 metres) at the corner of Carlton St. and Church St.


Public Transit

  1. Mattamy Athletic Centre is located approximately one block east of College Station on the TTC’s Yonge Subway Line
  2. Exit the station and walk one block east on Carlton St. Mattamy Athletic Centre is located on the north side of Carlton St. at the corner of Carlton St. and Church St.

Lamport Stadium - Soccer

October 24 men's soccer playoff game vs Laurentian will be played at Esther Shiner Stadium. The Ryerson men’s and women’s soccer teams play the majority of their home games at Allan A. Lamport Stadium located on King Street West close to Dufferin Street in the Parkdale neighbourhood of Toronto. However, games may be scheduled at other locations, please check the Ryerson soccer team schedules for game locations. The Sept. 5th games versus Trent will be played at St. Michael's College (Bathurst St. & St. Clair Ave. West) on the Eugene Melnyk Sports Field. The Sept. 23rd games vs Toronto, Oct. 20 vs Laurentian and Oct. 21 vs Nipissing will be played at Birchmount Stadium (Kingston Rd & Birchmount Ave.). The Sept. 30 women's game vs Ottawa is also at Birchmount Stadium.

  • Take Gardiner Expressway to Dunn Ave
  • Exit onto Dunn Ave and go north (right) to King St
  • Turn right on King St and travel east to Fraser Ave
  • Turn right on Fraser Ave, stadium is on the left with parking at the back

From QEW Eastbound (towards Toronto)

  • Go east on QEW/Gardiner Expressway to Jameson Ave
  • Exit onto Jameson Ave and go north (left) to King St
  • Turn right on King St and travel east to Fraser Ave
  • Turn right on Fraser Ave, stadium is on the left with parking at the back

Public Transit from Ryerson Campus

  • Take the 504 King street car and get off at Dufferin Street

Ryerson University Campus/Kerr Hall Gymnasium - Badminton/Fencing

Ryerson’s men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball and badminton teams all play their home games on campus in Kerr Hall Gymnasium. The offices of the athletic department can also be found on campus, located in Kerr Hall West and the Recreation and Athletics Centre.

  • Ryerson is bounded by four major city streets: Gerrard (north), Dundas (south), Jarvis (east) and Yonge (west). Driving north on Jarvis, Ryerson’s main campus will be on your left hand side north of Dundas.
