2017-18:  The senior middle blocker put together one of the most impressive seasons in program history… Ryerson’s H. H. Kerr Female Athlete of the Year and an OUA First-Team All-Star for the third straight season… Played in all of Ryerson’s 68 sets across 19 games, one of only two Rams to do so … Lead the country with a .482 hitting percentage for the third year in a row… Also ranked third in the country with 1.29 blocks per set and 4.2 points per set in the regular season… Her single-game hitting percentage was over .500 on 12 different occasions, with a career best of .818% on February 23, 2018, against RMC… Also had a career high of 18 kills on February 23, 2018 in a sweep over the RMC Paladins… In the Quigley Cup playoffs, Vernon had a .439 hitting percentage and a 1.91 blocks per set average, ranking first in U SPORTS in both statistics… Named Player of the Game after putting up 10 blocks and 12 kills with a .435 attack efficiency in the Quigley Cup finals against McMaster on March 10, 2018… At the 2018 U SPORTS National Championship, she averaged 2.54 blocks per set (first in the tournament) and a .359 hitting percentage (second in the tournament)… Recorded 11 kills, 13 block assists and 17.5 points, as well as a .375 hitting percentage in the national championship game against Alberta on March 18, 2018… Named MVP of the U SPORTS National Championship tournament after leading her team to Ryerson’s first-ever national banner… Vernon wrapped up a phenomenal season as one of four female athletes to be nominated for the U SPORTS BLG Athlete of the Year award, becoming the first Ryerson athlete in the history of the university to be named as a finalist for the prestigious award… The second-team All-Canadian was also named the U SPORTS Athlete of the Month for March, and the OUA and U SPORTS Athlete of the Week on March 20… Named Ryerson’s Athlete of the Week on November 27, 2017, February 20, 2018 and March 19, 2018… After four seasons, Vernon now sits second in all-time program points (964) and first in total blocks (292) and career hitting percentage (.422%)... Her 2017-18 hitting percentage (.482%) broke the program’s previous record, also set by Vernon (.435% in 2015-16)... She also set the new record for single game hitting percentage (.818% on February 23, 2018), another record she previously held (.737% on January 22, 2016).

2016-17: The third year middle blocker had another dynamite season in a Rams' uniform... Named an OUA First-Team All-Star for the second straight season… Finished the regular season as the most efficient hitter in the country for the second straight year with a hitting percentage of .389; also the third straight season that she's finished in the top five in Canada in that category... Wrapped up the regular season with 1.28 blocks/set (3rd in Canada) and 0.52 service aces per set (4th in the OUA and 10th in U SPORTS)... Her 33 solo blocks, 55 block assists, 88 total blocks and 36 service aces were all second in Ontario... Posted a season-high 15 kills, six solo blocks and 24.0 points in a 3-1 victory over the Guelph Gryphons on February 17th, 2017... Set a single game program record with 11 total blocks in a 3-2 loss to the University of Toronto Varsity Blues on November 25th, 2016... Named Ryerson's Female Athlete of the Week on November 28th, 2016 and January 23rd, 2017… Her strong play continued in the playoffs where she racked up 27 kills in three matches; her 17 total blocks and 1.70 blocks/set led the province in postseason play… At the 2017 U SPORTS Women's Volleyball National Championship, she led the Rams with 2.86 kills/set and a .333 hitting percentage, while her 14 total blocks and 2.00 blocks/set were both best in the tournament… Named a H.H. Kerr Female Athlete of the Year finalist.

2015-16: Her second season with the Rams... An OUA first team all-star, was one of the most feared attackers in the OUA... Her .435 hitting percentage in the regular season was first in the conference, while her 1.15 blocks per set ranked second and her 205 kills was fifth... Recorded career-highs of16 service aces and 274.5 points... The only Ram to appear in all 67 conference sets... In the playoffs, her .508 hitting percentage ranked second in the OUA and 3.67 kills per set was third best. 

2014-15: Won the OUA East Rookie of the Year award and was named to the OUA All-Rookie Team...Played in 42 of 65 sets in her first season, missing some time due to injury...Finished fourth on the Rams with 139 points...Led the OUA in hitting percentage...Established a career best 14 kills on November 15 at York and 20 points vs. Waterloo on November 23.

Before Ryerson: Played for the Toronto Diamonds Volleyball Club from 2009-2013… The middle blocker won a bronze medal at the 17U national championships and was named an all-star in 2012… Named the Diamonds' most valuable player in 2013... Bronze medalist at the 18U provincial championship that year and finalist at the 18U national championship... Named an all-star at both competitions.
