TORONTO - One of the most fierce and entertaining rivalries in OUA basketball burns on.
Wednesday night, the Ryerson Rams will play host to the Brock Badgers and their fans as Brock is sending a number of fan busses to cheer on their team. In response, the Rams turn to the Ryerson student body for another edition of #PackTheMAC in having the Rams faithful protect their home court.
The match marks the season home opener for the Rams, having gone 2-1 on their season-opening road trip. Myles Charvis (Mississauga, Ont.) has opened the season with two consecutive games decimating his previous single-game scoring record, putting up 24 points against the Windsor Lancers and 23 against the Western Mustangs.
The Rams are also finding significant output from the new faces on their roster, particularly Tanor Ngom (Dakar, Senegal) who has impressed both offensively and defensively in his debut run with the team. Senior Filip Vujadinovic (Burlington, Ont.) has also been making his presence known defensively, while still putting up significant numbers on the scoreboard.
Looking to this combination of new and old faces, coupled with the support of the Rams faithful, the team is aiming to come back not only from their previous loss to the Mustangs but last year’s loss to the Badgers. Brock heads to the Mattamy Athletic Centre on a 4-0 record to start the season. Historically strong against the Rams, the atmosphere on the court will be complimented by the heat between the full house of both team’s fanbases.
#PackTheMAC takes place on Wednesday, Nov. 8th at Ryerson’s Mattamy Athletic Centre. Come defend the MAC and support the Rams as they play host to the Brock Badgers and their fans. The men will also be unveiling their second consecutive OUA championship banner, so don't miss it!
