2012-13: In his second year with the Rams, the assistant captain played in 27 games accumulating 16 points (4G, 12A)...Two of Birkhoff’s four goals came against Laurier on November 1 where he recorded his first career CIS multi-goal game...Tied for the team lead in scoring in the playoffs with two assists.

2011-12: Played in all 28 conference games, recording three goals and 10 assists for 13 points... Named to the OUA East all-rookie team... Scored his first OUA career goal in a 5-3 loss at Toronto on October 19... Had two multi-point outings and five points in his first six games as a Ram... Recorded a goal and two assists in three playoff games versus UQTR in the OUA East quarter-finals.

BEFORE RYERSON: Played 98 career games in the OHL with the Ottawa 67's and the Peterborough Petes... Started last season with the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) before finishing the year with the Orangeville Flyers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL)... In 32 games with Orangeville, scored once and added 14 assists.
