Ryerson remains in third place in the east division but has made up significant ground this week, closing the gap to just four points from first place.
The Rams used a quick start on Saturday to guide them to victory. Ryerson peppered eight shots on goal and found the back of the net three times in the first half.
Viktor Anastasov (Toronto) got things started for the Rams just five minutes into the game as he scored his second goal of the year. Defender Sebastian Novais (Oakville, Ont.) scored his first of the year in the 29th minute and freshman Milos Scepanovic (Belgrade, Serbia) tallied his team-leading fifth goal of the season just three minutes later.
Adrian Mancini (Richmond Hill, Ont.) scored on the Rams' only shot of the second half, burying his fourth of the season in the 47th minute.
Goalkeeper Christian Maraldo (Mississauga, Ont.) stopped all five shots he faced to record his second consecutive shutout.
Ryerson plays a pivotal match on Sunday afternoon at 3:15 p.m. against the Queen's Gaels. The Gaels currently sit in first place and a Rams victory would increase the opportunity for Ryerson to clinch a first-round playoff bye.
