Students pack Kerr Hall for Orientation Game

TORONTO - Just over 1,000 fans packed the Kerr Hall gym to see the host Ryerson Rams defeat the George Brown Huskies 95-68 in the annual Rams Orientation Week basketball game.

Fifth-year guard Ryan McNeilly scored a game-high 26 points for Ryerson, while newcomer Jelane Pryce had 19 points, eight rebounds and two blocks. Pryce also brought the full house to its feet with an impressive highlight reel dunk in the fourth quarter.
First-year Rams Ola Adegboruwa and Bjorn Michaelsen both had double-doubles. Michaelsen recorded 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Adegboruwa added 16 points, 11 rebounds and a game-high six assists.
Sal Abdoulkader led George Brown with 19 points. Nana Ntim had 11 points and a team-high seven rebounds for the Huskies, who trailed 40-31 at the half.
The annual Rams Orientation Week basketball game introduces first-year students to Ryerson Rams athletics. Students were treated to free t-shirts, free food, prizes and great basketball.
Ryerson returns to action October 3 against Sheridan College. The Rams open the 2010-11 OUA season November 5 when they host the McMaster Marauders.
