TORONTO- Alisha Tatham is preparing to step onto one of the world's greatest sporting stages in London this summer.  The Brampton, Ont. native helped the Canadian Women's Senior National Basketball team clinch a spot in the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

Tatham acted as a member of the support staff for the Ryerson Rams men's basketball team over the course of the 2011-12 season, and also mentored the women's basketball team during their pre-season training.

The Canadians defeated Mali and Argentina before sealing their Olympic berth by up-ending Japan on Canada Day at the FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament for Women in Ankara, Turkey.

Canada will open the London Games against Russia on Saturday, July 28.
