The 5'8'' product of Banting Memorial H.S. is a current member of South Simcoe Soccer Club, and will be entering the criminal justice program at Ryerson in September. Manifold is a 2011 CGSL U17 Level 4 Premier Cup champion, and has captained Banting Memorial's soccer team throughout her high school career while being named the team's most valuable player in her grade 10 year.
"I want to be part of a growing athletic society (at Ryerson)," said Manifold, who also stated that the small classroom sizes offered by the University played a role in her selecting Ryerson to pursue her post-secondary academic career.
"Sam is a player who immediately stood out with her determination, aggressiveness, and sense of fearlessness," said Soccer Co-ordinator Kevin Souter. "Not only that, but Sam is calm and confident in possession of the ball showing technical and tactical proficiency. Furthermore, a trait that Sam embodies and is vital to our team's culture is a sense of humble leadership. Sam is destined for a big future as a Ryerson Ram."
