TORONTO - The Ryerson Rams badminton team continues to prepare for the OUA Championship, now less than a month away, as they held an exhibition meet with York University this past Friday.

The Rams emerged victorious in seven of the 10 matches.

Ryerson swept the women's singles and mixed doubles categories. Renee Wong and Alison Chiu both won in straight sets in singles action while Wong partnered with Liam O'Toole to win 2-0 in mixed doubles. Wyden Ko and Bernita Ng won the other mixed doubles event, also 2-0.

In men's singles Angus Finnigan won his match 2-0 while Oscar Thompson fell 2-1.

Ko and Thompson paired together for men's doubles and won in straight sets while O'Toole and Jye Duong lost 2-1 in men's doubles.

In women's doubles, Ng and Chiu parterned for a convincing 2-0 victory while Nikki Wong and Nikki Yin fell 2-0.

Next on the schedule for the Rams is the Independent University/College Circuit (IUCC) event held at the University of Toronto Mississauga campus this Saturday.
