TORONTO- Kerr Hall Gym opened its doors for Poland's men's national volleyball team to practice on Tuesday morning. The Poles, currently the fourth-ranked team in the world, are in Toronto for FIVB World League matches which will take place at Ricoh Coliseum this weekend (May 18-20).
The host Canada, Finland and the global number one Brazil are also participating in the round-robin event. There will be two matches each of the three days (one in the afternoon and one in the evening) for a total of six matches.
Mirek Porosa, Head Coach of the Rams men's volleyball team, is acting as the Polish team's official liason while they train and compete in Toronto.

"It was a treat to host the Polish team at Ryerson," said Porosa. "(Poland has) already qualified for the Olympics in London and have been ranked consistently in the top five in the world."
Ryerson men's team was able to sit in and observe one of the world's best nations practice, and Porosa hopes that his squad was inspired by the high-calibre training they witnessed.
"The size, physical presence and skill level of these players are incredible and fun to watch," said Porosa. "I am glad that my players could see them live from the court level and had an opportunity to talk to some players after the practice. I am really happy that we have been able to bring the highest level of volleyball to Kerr Hall Gym."
