The HPC/Provincial Team (PT) program is the second-last stage of the OVA's athletes' development pyramid. The HPC is provincially-driven with a high performance focus.

Together with Humber College, the OVA invited over 90 athletes and 19 coaches and staff at this year's HPC. Porosa had an opportunity to coach the best U18 players the province had to offer. The week consisted of three practices per day along with a number of classroom seminars and team-building exercises.

On the weekend, a selection of 48 athletes were split into four teams and competed in a round-robin style tournament. Porosa took charge of one of the squads, and guided his team to first-place in the tournament.

At the end of the camp, selected athletes from the HPC will join Team Ontario as members of the indoor provincial team.

"The OVA is in great shape for years to come as I have been impressed with the talent, physical presence and deepness at every position," said Porosa. "The Canadian volleyball future looks bright. I would like to thank the athletes for a fun week that was full of hard work, determination and team-work. I really enjoyed my time there and will do it again anytime."
