Wojcik brings an impressive volleyball resume to the table and Rams head coach Mirek Porosa is excited to welcome him into the program.
"He is a terrific talent and the complete package. He is a first-rate athlete with a great arm and a high volleyball IQ. He is a very coachable and committed individual", says Porosa.
The newest member of the Rams volleyball family is enrolled in the Faculty of Arts and plans to study History at Ryerson.
"I believe that Ryerson is a great school for the program I would like to be in", commented Wojcik. "As for continuing my athletics, I believe the coach and the players are a great fit for pursuing my goals."
Wojcik played his club volleyball with Durham Attack where he earned two provincial silver medals and a national silver medal. He has been a member of Team Ontario since 2009 and this past month he was a starting right side attacker on the U21 Ontario team that won gold at the NTTC. Wojcik has been a provincial all-star in every age division since his U16 playing days and will be a welcome addition to the Rams lineup.
Porosa adds, "I'm pleased that Robert has decided to join the Rams, as he's a product of Ontario's Durham Attack Volleyball Club. Robert was one of the best hitters, blockers and servers in the country when he graduated and I'm looking forward to adding that kind of stability to our lineup."
