In early December the figure skating team was invited to be part of Friday Night Live with Mike Koncan, a student-run late night talk show at Ryerson. The team participated in the show's road warrior segment, which features the host trying new things; this time it was figure skating. Katie Holmes, Emily Coxworth and Katherine Bilinsky taught Mike some basic elements and then had him combine his newly developed skills into a short freeskate program. The segment was part of the show's New Year's Eve special on Rogers Television.
