Janean Brühn is entering her second season as head coach, after two seasons as an assistant with the figure skating program. A former Ram from 2004-2008, Bruhn graduated from Ryerson with a degree in Interior Design.

Prior to her time at Ryerson, the Alberta product competed provincially as a singles freeskater and performed at several exhibitions. In 2002 she earned Skate Canada's Triple Gold Award and began coaching professionally while studying business at the University of Lethbridge.

As a Ram, Brühn competed in freeskate and dance in both team and individual events. She was an assistant captain and recipient of the team's Greatest Competitor award at OUA Finals in 2008.
