TORONTO - The Ryerson Rams women's hockey team dropped a 6-1 decision to the CIS No. 6 ranked Guelph Gryphons on Saturday afternoon in Guelph, Ont.

Emily Rose Galliani Pecchia scored her fifth goal of the season for Ryerson, who was tied 1-1 with the Gryphons at the end of the opening period. Guelph led 3-1 after 40 minutes.

Emma Crawley started in goal for the Rams and made 31 saves on 34 shots in the first two periods before being replaced by Dana Carson, who stopped 10 of 13 shots in the final frame.

Both teams went scoreless with the man advantage, Ryerson going 0-for-7 and Guelph 0-for-4. 

Kaitlyn Mora had two goals for the Gryphons, while Jessica Pinkerton, Jody Hodgins, Adrianna Prosdocimo and Gina Murray tallied single markers. Katherine Brazda stopped 15 of 16 shots for the victory.

The Rams will be back on the road again next weekend, visiting Western on Saturday and Windsor on Sunday.
