Boston Pizza Athletes of the Week
The Ryerson Rams Athletes of the Week are presented by Boston Pizza at Front & John.

Arseni Tikhomirov has been named the Boston Pizza Male Athlete of the Week. The Richmond Hill, Ont. native captured a bronze medal in the epee event on Saturday at the OUA Men's Fencing Championships this weekend at Queens University. Tikhomirov also helped the men to a third-place finish in the team epee event on Sunday. The retail management major was part of the silver-medal winning epee team at the 2011 championships, and also led the team to a fourth-place overall finish one year ago.

After leading the women's hockey team to two strong performances to finish the season last weekend, rookie defender Jessica Hartwick has been named the Boston Pizza Female Athlete of the Week. The Brampton, Ont. native notched the game-tying marker against the UOIT Ridgebacks on Friday night in the third period, helping the Rams clinch their fourth point of the season as they would eventually fall in overtime. Hartwick came back the next day in the Rams final contest of the year, and picked up a goal and assist in a 4-3 loss to the Queen's Gaels. The arts and contemporary studies major finished the season with three goals and nine points in 26 games played.
