ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Ryerson Rams curling teams made their season debut this past weekend when they took part in the Brock Invitational.

The men's team posted a solid 3-1 record to finish tied for third place among 13 teams.

After dropping a 5-2 decision to Waterloo in their opening game, the Rams men rattled off three straight wins against Trent (6-3), Western (8-4) and the Brock Junior Varsity (JV) team (7-3).

On the women's side, the Rams posted a 1-2-1 record to rank ninth out of 14 teams.

The women fell 5-2 to Waterloo in their opening draw before losing a tight 7-6 decision to Trent to fall to 0-2. The Rams then defeated Western 7-2 before wrapping up competition with a 7-7 draw against Brock JV, who finished in first place.

Next up for the Rams will be the McMaster Invitational this coming weekend in Hamilton, followed by the OUA Championship hosted by UOIT in Oshawa from February 16-20.
