Ram Pack wins OUA CHAMP award
NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. - The Ryerson Ram Pack took home the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Best Fan Support Group award on Wednesday night during the Honour Awards ceremony at the OUA annual general meeting in Niagara Falls.
The Ram Pack has made its mark across the league. This season, the Ram Pack has encouraged one of the highest student attendance rates in the province. The spirited support led to five regular season games with student attendance over 1,000 and an additional four over 700.
On the road, the Ram Pack travelled to St. Catharines, Ottawa, Quebec City and Halifax in support of the Rams, giving students the experience of a lifetime. The Ram Pack’s presence was felt everywhere. Gymnasiums and arenas were transformed into seas of blue and gold with engaging chants and the banging of drums and pots and pans.
The Ram Pack is continuing to grow and its culture is permeating campus spirit and pride at Ryerson.
This is the fourth straight year Ryerson has won a CHAMP award.
Ram Pack leaders Luke Bellus and Adrian Garcea accepted the award (pictured - Bellus on left, Garcea on right).
The Best Fan Support Group was one of eight Celebrating and Honouring Achievements in Marketing and Promotions (CHAMP) awards handed out on Wednesday.
