By Jessica Pincente

TORONTO - The Ryerson Rams announced today the release of the Fall 2018 promotional schedule, highlighting seven cant-miss home games to be played at Ryerson’s Mattamy Athletic Centre during first semester.

The action-packed schedule features seven marquee events in first semester alone. The schedule is as follows:

Friday, September 21, 2018: Back to School Bash (MHKY vs. UNB)

Start the school year off right and join us for a night of fun on September 21, as the Ryerson men's hockey team will host the UNB Reds for a pre-season exhibition thriller. The game will be free for all those attending, so whether you’re a Ryerson student, a Rams alumni, or an interested hockey fan - we hope to see you there!

Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM on the Mattamy Athletic Centre rink.

Wednesday, October 3, 2018: Blue and Gold Night (MHKY vs. Waterloo)

Boasting back-to-back Marquee matchups, the men’s hockey team is set to open up their regular season campaign against Waterloo on October 3.  As always, Ryerson students get in free with a valid OneCard. Come dressed in blue and gold and show off your school spirit!

Be sure to arrive early, as the game will begin at 7:00 PM at Ryerson’s Mattamy Athletic Centre.

Remember when this happened? On October 24, we celebrate! Join us as we honour our OUA and U SPORTS champs with a double banner-raising ceremony. The men’s and women’s volleyball teams will open up their 2018-19 regular season against the Brock Badgers, with special in-game ceremonies taking place to commemorate Ryerson University’s first-ever national championship.

The evening will begin at 6:00 PM as the men’s team faces off against Brock, and the double banner-raising ceremony/women’s game will follow right after the completion of the men’s game. You won’t want to miss this.

Friday, October 26, 2018: Battle for the 6ix (W/MBB vs. Toronto)

Ryerson’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will open up the 2018-19 season with an exciting matchup against the Toronto Varsity Blues. The crosstown rivals will both be looking to kick-start their seasons with a win against their downtown neighbors.

The road to the Final 8 tournament will begin for the women’s team, who are set to host the U SPORTS National Championships from March 7-10, 2019.  Tickets for the tournament will go on sale on October 26 as well, so you won’t want to miss out on the celebration. Ryerson’s 2018 Hall of Fame inductees will also be announced before the game.

No matter the sport, you’re always in for a good game when Ryerson and Toronto face off. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM.

Friday, November 23, 2018: Whiteout (W/MBB vs. Windsor)

We know it’s after Labour Day, but put on your best white outfit and help turn the Coca-Cola Court white! Ryerson’s basketball teams will hit the Coca-Cola court against the Windsor Lancers following a four-game road trip, and both teams will be fighting for a victory as the fall semester comes to a close.

Tipoff is set for 6:00 PM.

Promotions, contests, and giveaways associated with each game will be announced at a later date. Stay updated with all details regarding marquee games and the 2018-19 season by checking back to our website or following us on Twitter, @RyersonRams.
