Ryerson Rams offer hockey fans FREE game
TORONTO - The Ryerson University Rams men’s hockey team will be offering free admission to its September 21st game against the University of New Brunswick Reds at the Mattamy Athletic Centre (formerly Maple Leaf Gardens).
This special free event kicks off the 2018-19 hockey season and also celebrates the start of the new school year. Ryerson students, staff and faculty receive free admission to all Ryerson Rams home games but for this game, that offer is extended to everyone.
The Rams have finished near the top of the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) standings the past two seasons, compiling a record of 38-13-5 during that time. The Reds are one of the top programs in Canada, winning the U SPORTS national championship five times in the last 10 years.
University hockey is exciting, physical, fast-paced and remains one of Canada’s best kept sports secrets. The majority of Canadian university players are graduates of the Canadian Hockey League (WHL, OHL, QMJHL). Several players on both the Ryerson and New Brunswick teams were selected in the NHL entry draft or attended NHL training camps in the past.
Game time is 7:15pm at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. The night will feature several giveaways, fun and great hockey! Admission is free for everyone.
