Alumnus Kohn represents Canada at Maccabiah Games

TORONTO - Ryerson Rams men's soccer alumnus Josh Kohn has been selected to the Canadian team participating in the Maccabiah Games in Israel from July 4-18.

Kohn played with the Rams from 2010-15 and is a two-time OUA All-Star. Kohn won an OUA silver medal in 2013 and was a member of the first Ryerson soccer team to qualify for the national championship tournament. Kohn served as an assistant coach with the Rams in the 2016-17 season.

The Canadian men's open football team at the Games are in a pool with Peru, Uruguay and Brazil. Kohn and the Canadians won their opener, 2-1 over Peru on July 6. Their next game goes July 9 against Uruguay.

Kohn is one of seven players on the squad who has played for an OUA/U SPORTS team.

The Maccabiah Games are an international Jewish and Israeli multi-sport event held every four years in Israel. The 2017 Games are the 20th Maccabiah Games and play host to 85 countries in 45 sports. Competitions are organized into four divisions - Open, Junior, Masters, and Paralympic.
