Four Rams part of Team Toronto in the Bahamas
PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas - A trio of Rams players and coach Roy Rana spent this weekend in the Bahamas sunshine as part of Team Toronto, a group of Canadian players brought together to play the University of Kentucky as part of the Wildcats' foreign tour.
Senior players Filip Vujadinovic, JV Mukama, and Myles Charvis were all members of Team Toronto, put together by Ryerson coach, Roy Rana.
The rest of Team Toronto consisted of two other OUA/U SPORTS players in Tanner Graham (Queen's) and David McCulloch (McMaster) along with one former NCAA player, one prep school player, and four professionals.
Team Toronto played Kentucky on Sunday night in the final game of the Wildcats' foreign tour. Kentucky emerged victorious with a 93-60 victory.
Mukama finished with 2 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in 20 minutes. Vujadinovic connected once from long range for 3 points and 2 rebounds in 13:30 of action while Charvis had 2 points and 3 assists in nearly 23 minutes. Team Toronto was led by Duane Notice, a graduate from South Carolina, who had 20 points.
For the Rams, playing Kentucky was their first taste of NCAA competition this season. Next, they'll return to Toronto to take on the Duke Blue Devils on Wednesday, August 15 at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. and is available on TSN4.
