Aaron Best returns to Europe with new contract
LUDWIGSBURG, Germany - The MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg basketball club announced on September 24 the signing of Rams men's basketball alumnus, Aaron Best.
Best spent the past season in the NBA G-League with Raptors 905 but will make his return to Europe after starting his professional career overseas.
This season Best averaged 7.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 47 games with the 905. Best has also had a successful year internationally, playing for the Canadian Senior Men's National Team in the FIBA World Cup qualifying process.
Best got his professional career started in the 2016-17 season with Juventus Utena, a team in the Lithuanian Division 1 league.
The former Ram has signed a one-year contract with MHP Riesen.
Best is not the first alumnus to sign with the squad, as Adika Peter-McNeilly played with Ludwigsburg last season. Peter-McNeilly has since moved on to Mitteldeutscher BC, but will see Best and the rest of the Ludwigsburg team throughout the season as both teams play in the German Bundesliga.
