Longman and Small named Athletes of the Week
St. Louis Bar & Grill Athletes of the Week
The first #DevilishlyGood St. Louis Bar & Grill Athlete of the Week is Keevon Small (Montreal, Que.) of the men's basketball team. The second year forward put up a strong performance in the Rams only game of the week, an 82-57 win over Guelph. Small netted a game-high 21 points on 8-for-13 (62%) shooting from the floor. Small was critical at the defensive end as well with six rebounds and five steals. Small now ranks third in the OUA with 18 steals in five games this season.
Julie Longman (Newmarket, Ont.) is our second #DevilishlyGood St. Louis Bar & Grill Athlete of the Week. The fifth year libero with the women's volleyball team had a near record-setting performance on Friday night. Longman tallied 28 digs in Ryerson's win over Toronto, which is the second most digs by one player in a game in Rams history. Longman does hold that record too, a 33 dig performance back in January of this year. The performance on Friday was critical in Ryerson's success as they defeated Toronto 3-1, handing the Varsity Blues their first regular season loss since February of 2015. Longman now sits seventh in the OUA with an average of 3.38 digs per set.
Both athletes receive a $25 gift certificate to St. Louis Bar & Grill.
