2018 Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

By Sports Information

Ryerson Athletics prides itself on a rich history of exceptional student-athletes and athletic supporters. Each year, the Hall of Fame Committee carefully selects which notable alumni will be honoured at the annual Ryerson Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. It is our pleasure to announce the Hall of Fame Inductees of 2018.

Ashley MacDonald – Athlete
Ashley MacDonald (Sociology, 2012) was a standout point guard for the Rams women’s basketball team from 2007 to 2012. A deadly three-point shooter, she was a three-time OUA all-star, a two-time team MVP and a two-time winner of Ryerson’s H.H. Kerr Female Athlete of the Year Award. A recipient of Ryerson's Gold and Blue ‘R' awards, MacDonald enters the Hall of Fame holding six single season records including most three-point field goals made in a season with 68. She is also among the Rams top five career leaders in eight different statistical categories, including first in three-point field goals made and second in scoring with 1,218 career points.

Angela Tilk – Athlete
Angela Tilk (International Economics and Finance, 2013) is among the Rams women’s basketball top ten career leaders in six different statistical categories and she also enters the Hall of Fame in 2018 holding the team’s single season record for rebounds with 207, which she set in 2011-12. She also added 319 points that year and was one of only three players in the OUA to achieve the feat that season. An OUA East all-star in 2012 and East All-Rookie team selection in 2009, Tilk also received the OUA Women of Influence award in her final season as a Ram. She was awarded both the Ryerson Gold and Blue ‘R' awards and in 2011 was the recipient of the G.L. Dobson Award for Female Greatest Contribution to Athletics, Campus and Community Life.

Tamara Alleyne-Gittens – Athlete
Tamara Alleyne-Gittens (Commerce, 2004) is among the Rams women’s basketball top ten career leaders in seven different statistical categories. She enters the Hall of Fame in 2018 second in career rebounds with 644, field goals made with 430 and field goals attempted with 1,025. Alleyne-Gittens was an OUA East all-star in 2002. She was named Rams women’s basketball team MVP and awarded the Ryerson Blue ‘R' award in 2005.

Congratulations to the Ryerson Rams Hall of Fame Inductees of 2018! Their commitment and accomplishments have laid the foundation for the Ryerson Rams student-athletes of today. We look forward to honouring our inductees at this year’s ceremony.
