HAMILTON, Ont. - The Ryerson Rams badminton team returns home from the 2016 OUA Championship with a sixth place finish.

A new format for the championship was introduced this year with teams playing head to head matches. Individual champions in singles, doubles and mixed doubles have been eliminated.

The Rams finished third out of five teams in pool B with a record of two wins and two losses. Ryerson then lost a heartbreaker in the quarterfinals to Waterloo. The match was tied and Waterloo advanced on the tiebreaker - points won/lost.

Fourth year player Vivian Kwok (Stouffville, Ont.) was named an OUA All-Star for her performance over the course of the weekend.
