Men's volleyball rounds out 2018-19 coaching staff
TORONTO - The Ryerson Rams men’s volleyball team announced today the addition of Gabriel Harrietha, Niko Rukavina, and Jason McCullagh to the team’s coaching staff for the upcoming 2018-19 season.
Harrietha was apart of the Rams coaching staff in 2016-17 and rejoins the team after stepping away for one season. He has coached several clubs within the Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) for nine years while also assisting with several
Rukavina joins the Rams with an impressive resume. He served as a head coach for the Mississauga Pakmen 13U for the last two years while also coaching at the provincial level in 2015, 2016, and 2018. Additionally, Rukavina served as an assistant coach for the Queen’s Gaels from 2014 to 2016.
As a player, Rukavina played five years at Queen’s before making the journey overseas to play professionally in Sweden and Germany.
McCullagh, the third addition to the coaching staff, served as the Director of Strength and Conditioning for the Ottawa Maverick Volleyball Club from 2005 to 2012, as well as the head coach of the 16U
McCullagh, Rukavina, and Harrietha will serve as assistant coaches this season.
