Pair of Rams help lead Canada to silver at Pan American Cup

LIMA, Peru – A pair of Ryerson Rams helped lead Canada to a silver medal finish at the U21 Men’s Volleyball Pan American Cup in Peru, May 5-11.

Ryerson outside hitter and U SPORTS Rookie of the Year Xander Ketrzynski had a match-high 18 points in Canada’s gold medal match loss to Cuba. Ketrzynski was also named the tournament’s best opposite hitter and best server.

Rams women’s volleyball assistant coach Adam Simac served as an assistant coach with Team Canada in Peru.

The Canadian team will now return to Gatineau, Quebec to begin an open tryout for positions on the junior national team, which will compete at the World U21 Championship in Bahrain later this summer.
