ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Ryerson Rams men's golf team started their season at the Brock Invitational, held at Sawmill Golf Club in Fonthill. Three new players took the course for the Rams and while they failed to build on the strong performances in Q-School, the Rams were able to clinch a spot in the OUA championships.

Cole Posluns started slow but finished strong and posted a +2 37 on his 2nd 9 to lead the way for the Rams with an 81. His birdie on the par-4 7th (his 16th hole), allowed the Rams to qualify for OUA’s on the number. Mitchel Borer and Mahir Omar both shot 85, while Ryan MacMillan and Matthew McDonald also competed for the Rams but struggled on the day.

Ryerson will look to improve tomorrow as they compete at the York Invitational at Summit Golf Club in Richmond Hill.

The women's golf team will kick off their season at York, and be represented by Maddy Lee, Heather Jennings, and Amanda Grant.
